I have a perished petrol pipe and the garage I take the car to is miles away and. I have a leak in one of my gas lines on my car. I read that yellow teflon tape seals natural gas no problem. Or is there another specialized tape or sealant to fix this?
Seriously, though, duct tape is the miracle sealant you’re looking for. I’m trying to recall if that is the one that is gasoline resistant or not. Proper teflon is resistant to nearly any chemical that is in general . LeakSeal Tape creates a chemical and moisture resistant barrier that fixes leaky pipes and hoses and covers frayed electrical wires.
You are not supposed to use teflon tape with gasoline applications, supposedly it. Loctite 5Thread sealer, 1 resistance to unleaded . It’s a taper thread plug, so will need some sort of sealant. Apparently PTFE Tape dissolves in petrol.
